Frozen Eternity by JoelBelessa Frozen Eternity by JoelBelessa
The picture was taken in May 2013 and the first to be edited after my 2 weeks trip around Iceland, which by itself was amazing. Iceland had the coldest Spring since 30 years and i was afraid that all my photographic dreams went down the toilet b/c of the bad weather and dead vegetation but i was proven wrong not just this time ... I though i had seen Iceland after my trip 2 years ago but i was sooo wrong. We had a spectacular weather that day and got blessed with probably the most scenic sundown in my entire life. Standing there in no-mans land watching seals swimming in the sea covered by majestic glacial ice ... i cannot even think of something that comes close to this view. Like a icelandic photographer said (sadly i cannot remember his name):

Landscape photography freezes eternity into a moment and i love this quote so much, i decided to name the picture this way (if someone can tell me the photographers name in the comments i would be very happy :))

Jökulsárlón in SouthEast Iceland
Nikon D800, Nikon 14-24mm 2.8 @ ISO 100, F16, Tripod, Exposureblending of 5 pictures and final touch in Photoshop

I know you requested critics for that. But honestly I really tried to see something negative in this picture. But I can't. In my opinion you have chosen the sight, the angle and all your settings very thoughtfully. The decision to have the sun more in a side then in the middle was great, otherwise you would have such brilliant light on the ice and snow. Also that you chose to have the reflections from the water inside picture was great. Really really good composition. Thank you for sharing!
